Out Of The Box

Curriculum

Student Exams

The Out Of The Box Program is divided into two workshops - 1) Budgeting and Banking, 2) Investments and Credit Management and Entrepreneurship and Networking.   Each section of the workshop is comprised of  a Knowledge session, Interactive Exercises and  The Break/Networking section.

The Knowledge Session is the instructional part of the workshop and is led by the professional lecturer.  The Interactive Exercise section allows students to work together as a group and complete quick problems that focus on the previously learned topics and to reinforce the Out Of The Box Financial Literacy Principle.  Finally, the Break/Networking section provides the students an opportunity to take a quick break and to get to know their fellow students, lecturer, corporate partners and the OOTB staff.

The workshops are three and a half hours long and are typically held on Saturday mornings.  The curriculum strictly follows the aforementioned three-workshop format and includes all of the lecturer information, the exercises and the student assessments.  Students are given assessments to measure their understanding of the financial literacy information.
